Welina Mai

Welcome, I am Malia Marks, the Owner + Operator of Kuahine + Co. I was born and raised on the island of O‘ahu and have had the privilege of calling Kona home for the last four years. As a teenager, I loved everything about the beauty industry: make-up, skin, hair, fashion. I would devour beauty sections in magazines, memorizing tips and tricks, and learning about the latest skin care products. It was more than just beauty to me, it was art.

In 2014, I graduated from Makana Esthetics Wellness Academy and joined the Benefit Brow Bar. There we slayed brows and my love for waxing grew and after 3 years I gained the confidence that I could transform any brow. Continuing education in my field is of utmost importance to me. I’ve taken additional and advanced classes for sugaring, brow and lash extension services. I will always love learning, utilize what I learn to provide the most current and quality services and pursue opportunities to dabble in all things beauty.

In August of 2020, amidst the pandemic, with a leap of faith, my passion for beauty and a whole lotta nerve, Kuahine + Co was born. Kuahine + Co offers me an opportunity to connect with my clients through my art, the art of beauty. Your time at Kuahine + Co is more than just your monthly beauty services, it is the time that you budget for yourself, a moment for you to feel transformed externally and sometimes internally.
